Jin-Machine、ニューシングル「ゴリラ」収録曲とジャケ写を公開

9月30日にリリースされるJin-Machineのマキシシングル「ゴリラ」の収録内容およびジャケットアートワークが公開された。

ヴィジュアル系バンドでありながら、見た目からかけ離れた内容で笑いとインパクトを与え続けているJin-Machine。今作でテーマにしたのは「ゴリラ」。3形態に収録される全6曲がすべてゴリラにまつわる楽曲という前代未聞の作品となっている。

ジャケットには、「ゴリラ女子」を生むきっかけとなった東山動物園（愛知県名古屋市）のイケメンゴリラ「シャバーニ」を起用。メンバーが熱望した夢の競演が実現した。ニシローランドゴリラ盤では眼光鋭いシャバーニの雄々しい表情が、ヒガシローランドゴリラ盤では見事な肉体美と雄ゴリラの象徴“シルバーバック”が写し出されたいずれも撮りおろしの写真が使用された。

作詞を担当したのはfeaturing16。当初はおふざけの延長で「ゴリラ」をテーマに選んだfeaturing16だったが、制作にあたりゴリラについて深く調べていく過程で“争わない”“仲間を大事にする”というゴリラの習性に感化され、自らが作り出す作品やライヴがゴリラのようにやさしさと和気あいあいとした雰囲気になればという願いを込めて歌詞を完成させた。ハートウォーミングなゴリラの家族の歌から絶滅危惧種のゴリラの歌までゴリラ愛溢れる作品となっている。

なお、8月14日（金）の深夜に関西テレビで放映される『Mujack 特別編　V夜～Visual Night～』にJin-Machineよりfeaturing16とあっつtheデストロイの両名が出演、こちらの番組も注目して欲しい。

「移動時に私が運転していた際、隣に座っていたマジカルひもりに次の作品に関して 「こんなことできる？」「あんなことやりたい！」という話を何となくぶつけていた。その流れで「こんな曲は嫌だ」という中で出てきたのが『ゴルフ』というキーワードだった。
○月×日『ゴルフ』リリース！という字面や、店頭にて「ゴルフください！」と購入者が伝えるシーンのおかしみ。さらに、ゴルフインストア、ゴルフライブ、ゴルフツアーなども展開でき、最終的に日本初の「ゴルフロック」というジャンルの確立を目指そうという話にもなった。
しかし実際にデモ音源があがってきた時、歌詞を当ててみて私は思った。これはウケない……
ゴルフはライヴに来る人にはあまりにも疎遠すぎる。そして考えるなかで一番ぴったりくる言葉、、、それが『ゴリラ』だったのです」
