レキシ、1stシングルの初回盤は風呂敷がジャケットに変化!?

レキシが11月25日（水）に約1年半ぶりの新作となる1stシングル「SHIKIBU」をリリースすることがわかった。

今回リリースするシングルは、昨年6月にリリースしてオリコンTOP10入りをはたした4thアルバム「レシキ」以来約1年半ぶりとなる待望の新作。また、これまで4枚のアルバムを発表したレキシにとっては初となるシングルリリースだ。

同作の初回盤は、風呂敷がジャケットに変化する『レキシ 限定オフィシャル風呂敷「あ・ふろしき・ぶ」付スペシャルパッケージ』。トレードマークの“アフロヘア"、“風呂敷"、"SHIKIBU"が組み合わさったネーミングの風呂敷が限定オフィシャルグッズとして付属する。“風呂敷ジャケット"は、CDケースを「あ・ふろしき・ぶ」で手順通りに畳んで初めてジャケットデザインが完成するといった仕様で、30cm×30cmの「あ・ふろしき・ぶ」を広げると、その完成形を計算した絶妙なデザインでイラストが描かれている。また、発売時は「あ・ふろしき・ぶ」に包まれた完成形の状態でパッケージされているが、商品を手に取り「あ・ふろしき・ぶ」を開けると、3種類のランダムジャケットのいずれか1種が登場するといった、包んで感心、開けてびっくりの、CDパッケージとしては史上初の仕様形態。

なお、初回盤ブックレットには、一度開けた「あ・ふろしき・ぶ」をいつでも完成形に戻せるよう畳み方の正式手順も記載。もちろん通常の風呂敷としての使用も可能なので、お祝い事やライブのお供にも活躍すること間違いなしの嬉しいデザインとなっている。過去4作のアルバムで毎回完売御礼のプレミア仕様となっている枚数限定の「本人手書きジャケット」に続く、レキシの遊び心と心尽くし溢れる商品パッケージとなった今回の初シングル。その注目のジャケットデザインは、レキシ最新ビジュアルと共に、近日中にオフィシャルサイトほかで公開予定。

そして、注目の表題曲は、平安時代の女流作家・紫式部をテーマに書き下ろされたファンキーなミディアムロックナンバー。タイトルは、急遽豪華ゲストアーティストの参加が決定し、現在“レキシネーム"を絶賛考案中のため「タイトル未定」となっているが、ゲストアーティストのレキシネームと共に近日中に正式タイトルを発表。新曲に紫式部がどう絡んでいるのか、ゲストアーティストが誰なのか期待が高まるところ。

また、カップリング曲には4thアルバム「レシキ」で各方面に笑撃をもたらした「Takeda' feat. ニセレキシ（U-zhaan）」のまさかの第二章「Takeda' 2 feat. ニセレキシ」のほか、代表曲「狩りから稲作へ」のライブパフォーマンスで定番となっている「キャーッツ！」の傑作ライブテイクのみを過去のライブからさかのぼって厳選セレクトした、“ねこあつめ"ならぬ「キャッツあつめ ～CATS LIVE SELECTION」の3曲を初回生産限定盤、通常盤共に収録している。
