X JAPAN、20年ぶりの日本ツアー被災地石巻から遂にスタート！

X JAPANが11月28日より、1995〜96年に行った「DAHLIA TOUR」以来、実に20年ぶりとなる日本ツアーを石巻のライブハウスからスタートさせた。

今回の石巻公演はX JAPANのリーダーYoshikiが、自分の目で被災地を見たいと2013年9月に石巻を訪れ、幼稚園や小学校等を回わり最後に本日のライブ会場である石巻ブルーレジスタンスに立ち寄り、その際Yoshikiは次回の訪問を約束。今回ライブ開催という形でその約束が果たされた事となった。

X JAPAN（X）として、この規模のライブハウス公演は、1991年12月31日の「ALL NIGHT METAL PARTY」目黒鹿鳴館以来、実に24年ぶりとなる。

本日の公演は震災復興チャリティーコンサートとして開催され、入場出来る観客は150名のみ。半数の75枚はインターネットオークションサイト「ヤフオク！」内特設サイトのチャリティオークションに出品された。残りの半数75枚は地元の石巻市・東松島市・牡鹿群女川町在住の方のみを対象とした無料ご招待に当選された方々である。

「ヤフオク！」でのチケットオークション落札金額の総額は28,289,358円となり「中央共同募金会」を通じて全額寄付され、東北被災地の子供たちの支援に使用されることとなった。

当日、ライブハウスには、石巻市長を始め、地元を代表した高校生たちがX JAPANの凱旋を出迎えた。

惜しくも当選に漏れたファンや地元の方たちの為に、会場から15分ほどの場所にある石巻市総合体育館では、急きょパブリック・ビューイングが行われ、約3000人のファンはライブの模様が映り出されるスクリーンに向かって大声援を送っていた。さらに、このライブはニコニコ生放送を通じて全世界にもネット配信され、番組中も更なる寄付が出来る様に視聴者に呼びかけられた。

X JAPANバンドとしても、それぞれメンバーとしても、これまで様々な形でチャリティー活動を行っている。1995年阪神淡路大震災では被災した学校10校以上にピアノを寄贈、2009年四川大地震でも被災地に音楽施設の寄贈、2011年東日本大震災後にはYoshikiはX JAPANのラストライブで使用した自らのクリスタルピアノをオークションに出し落札額を全額寄付、その後もX JAPANで出演したa-nationの出演料も全額寄付を行った。またSUGIZOもボランティア活動で石巻に行く等、継続的に支援活動を行っている。

X JAPANの日本ツアーはこの後、12月1日（火）〜4日（金）横浜アリーナを皮切りに、7日（月）大阪、9日（水）福岡、11日（金）広島、14日（月）・15日（火）:名古屋の5都市で計9公演が行われる。

そして、12月31日（木）大晦日にはX 18年ぶりに6回目の「紅白歌合戦」出演を果たす。

さらに、2016年3月11日（金）には20年ぶりのスタジオアルバムが全世界発売予定。翌3月12日にはNYマディソンスクエアガーデンとともに世界的に著名で由緒あるイギリスのウェンブリー・アリーナ（SSE ARENA,WEMBLEY）にて、アルバムリリースパーティー＃XDAYと題したコンサートイベントを行う。そのイベント時には、ハリウッド映画として製作されているX JAPANのドキュメンタリー映画のワールド・プレミアが行われる。
