やくしまるえつこ、Yakushimaru Experiment名義でコンセプトアルバムを発売

坂本龍一のレーベルcommmons10周年を記念して、人力世界シミュレーター・やくしまるえつこが"Yakushimaru Experiment"名義で即興・朗読・数字を扱う実験コンセプトアルバム『Flying Tentacles』を3月30日にリリースすることと同時に、ジャケット&収録曲目が発表された。


オリジナル9次元楽器dimtaktを操るやくしまるえつこに加え、レーザーギター：ドラびでお、 OPTRON：伊東篤宏 、スライムシンセサイザー：ドリタのオリジナル楽器演奏者4名による光の即興セッション「光と光と光と光の記録」をはじめ、『京都SFフェスティバル2015』で初公開され大きな話題を呼んだ円城塔とのコラボレーション作品「タンパク質みたいに」など収録曲数は6曲ながら、総収録時間はおよそ1時間にも及ぶ大作となっている。

また、レコーディング&ミキシングエンジニアは、先日発表となった相対性理論の最新アルバム『天声ジングル』（2016年4月27日発売）をはじめ、多数の相対性理論・やくしまるえつこ作品を手がける米津裕二郎。マスタリングエンジニアはオノ セイゲン。収録曲のうち即興セッションの楽曲はDSD録音による一発録りでレコーディングされている。

アートディレクション&ドローイングはやくしまるえつこ本人、アートディレクション&デザインはSemitransparent Designが担当。作家・円城塔は、やくしまる及び本作品を評して「人力、世界シミュレーター。」とコメントを寄せている。

なお、ライナーノーツには円城塔書き下ろしによる本アルバムに捧げるテキストと、NTTインターコミュニケーション・センター[ICC]主任学芸員・畠中実によるアルバム解説が収録される。
