野田洋次郎のソロプロジェクト・illionが3年ぶりとなる新作を7月にリリース

野田洋次郎（RADWIMPS）のソロプロジェクト・illionが、3年ぶりとなる新作リリースを発表した。

2013年に産声を上げたillionは、ファースト・アルバム『UBU』をイギリス・ドイツ・フランスほか世界8か国でCDリリースし、同年には、ロンドンのO2 Shepherd's Bush Empireや、かつてThe Beatlesが初めてのライブを行ったドイツ・ハンブルクの老舗ライブハウス「Indra」でのライブを大成功させた。本家NMEでの独占インタビューなど、ヨーロッパ各国で大きな注目を集めたillionが、3年もの沈黙を破り、遂に日本で再始動を開始する。

7月20日（水）に発売される新作は、EP＋DVDの2枚組となっており、新曲が数曲収録されるほか、DVDには、ロンドンで行なわれた初ライブの映像や、街頭ビジョンのみで公開されていたAbbey Road Studiosでの「BRAIN DRAIN」スタジオライブ映像、「MAHOROBA」「BEEHIVE」のミュージックビデオなどが収録される。また、初回生産分のみ、新作アートワークを体現したスペシャルパッケージ仕様を予定している。

まお今夏開催されるフジロックフェスティバル'16では日本国内初ライブが決定しており、さらに、東京・大阪でのライブも発表されている。
