Superflyの新曲「99」が『ドクターX〜外科医・大門未知子〜』の主題歌に決定

Superflyの書き下ろし新曲「99」が10月13日スタートの米倉涼子主演ドラマ『ドクターX〜外科医・大門未知子〜』（毎週木曜 後9:00 テレビ朝日系）の主題歌に起用されたことが明らかになった。


Superflyはこれまでも同ドラマの主題歌に第一シリーズでは「Force」、第二シリーズでは「Bi-Li-Li Emotion」、第三シリーズでは「愛をからだに吹き込んで」を提供しており、今回の「99」で4作連続の書き下ろし曲提供となる。ドラマの放送が始まる10月13日（木）からは、iTunes Store、レコチョク他にて同楽曲の配信も開始される。

『ドクターX〜外科医・大門未知子〜』は、「いたしません」「私、失敗しないので」という名セリフでおなじみの、米倉涼子演じる天才外科医・大門未知子が外科医の本質である手術や治療を成し遂げるため、一切の妥協を許さず突き進む姿を描いた大ヒットドラマであり、今シリーズの為に書き下ろした新曲「99」は大門未知子が持つ力強さを、Superflyらしいロックなサウンドとパワフルな歌声で表現したポップで爽快な楽曲に仕上がっている。

第1シリーズから主題歌を担当させていただいた 『ドクターX 〜外科医・大門未知子〜』ですが、今作にも携わらせていただきとても光栄です。
持ち前のしなやかさで、危機的状況から起死回生を図る大門未知子のギリギリ感を「99」という数字に込めて、これまでよりも明るくパワフルに歌いました。
少し変態的でクセになるような、ポップでアッパーなロックにできたと思います。
ドラマ同様に楽しんで、爽快に感じていただけたらうれしいです。

Superflyさんらしいノリノリのメロディーに、センシティブな歌詞が刻まれていて、すごく心が揺さぶられました。私自身もそうなのですが、「99」で描かれているような“ギリギリのところで頑張っている女性"は、世の中にたくさんいるはず。Superflyさんもその一人なんじゃないかな、と感じました。頑張る女性という点で、お互いにつながった感じがして、うれしいです！
頑張っている女性の応援歌であるこの曲のおかげで、私も「もうちょっと頑張ろう！」と思えました。きっと辛いときに聴いたら、よりグッとくるんじゃないかな。何回も聴いて練習して、私のカラオケ・ナンバーにぜひ入れたいです！
