MONOEYES、『Get Up Tour 2016』東京公演で新木場を熱狂空間に！

MONOEYESの全国ワンマンツアー『Get Up Tour 2016』の東京公演が、新木場STUDIO COASTで12月15日・16日の2日間にわたって開催された。

最新作『Get Up E.P.』を携えた計22本のツアーも終盤を迎えた新木場公演の初日：12月15日。満場の大歓声が巻き起こる中、ライブの開幕を告げた『Get Up E.P.』からの楽曲は、スコット・マーフィー（B・Cho）作詞・作曲・ヴォーカルによる楽曲「Moth To Flame」。そこから「Like We've Never Lost」から「Do I Have To Bleed Again」へ、とアグレッシブなナンバーを畳み掛けるMONOEYESの4人。

会場一面のシンガロングを呼び起こしていたエモーショナルなボーカルワークをはじめ、戸高賢史（G）が繰り出す鋭利なリフや緻密なフレーズ、一瀬正和（Dr）が叩き出すタイトかつパワフルなリズムも、格段に強靭な一体感をもったバンドアンサンブルとして響き渡り、フロアの温度を刻一刻と高めていく。

『Get Up E.P.』の楽曲はもちろん、昨年7月リリースのアルバム『A Mirage In The Sun』の12曲も含め、現時点でのMONOEYESの既発曲すべてを披露していたこの日のアクト。「My Instant Song」や「Remember Me」では観客一丸の歌声とハイジャンプでフロアを揺らし、「Borders & Walls」でパンキッシュな疾走感を描き出す。すべての楽曲が、観る者の情熱と衝動を突き動かすダイレクトな訴求力に満ちている。

「今年は突っ走ったな。とりあえず、1日も無駄にしなかった気がする。すごくいい1年だった。ありがとうございました」と語りかける細美（Vo・G）の表情にも充実感が滲む。「MONOEYESが結成して1年半くらいの間に、これだけたくさんの人と関わりを持てたことが、とても幸せです。」という万感の言葉に、惜しみない拍手喝采が湧き上がった場面は、MONOEYESが着実にロックファンとの間に築いてきた絆を象徴するものだった。

ライヴ後半に鳴り渡ったミドルテンポのダイナミックなアンセム「Get Up」に応えてフロアに拳が高々と突き上がり、大雪に見舞われたツアーの東北〜北海道公演を振り返りつつ奏でた「Wish It Was Snowing Out」のメロディが満場の熱気を包み込む。

そして、本編ラスト3曲「What I Left Today」「Run Run」「グラニート」で圧巻の熱狂空間を生み出していった。

アンコールでは「Just A Little More Time」に続けて、ALLiSTERの楽曲「Somowhere On Fullerton」をカバー。「Everybody, jump!!」の細美のコールに導かれてのオーディエンスの大ジャンプにフロアが激しく揺れる。MONOEYESが響かせるロックそのもののような、高純度の熱量と祝祭感に満ちた一夜だった。
