UVERworld、10年連続のクリスマス武道館公演でレア曲連発

12月25日、UVERworldのクリスマスライヴ『UVERworld Premium LIVE on Xmas 2017』が日本武道館にて行なわれた。11月から行なわれている『TYCOON TOUR』のツアーの終盤戦にして、久々の東京でのライブとなった本公演はステージを360度取り囲む形で客席を配置。最上段までびっしりファンで埋め尽くされた会場では、ライブスタッフやカメラクルーまでがサンタの衣装に身を包みクリスマス感あふれるスペシャルな一夜となった。

大切なライブの前日は会場に泊まるというTAKUYA∞（Vo）はこの日も前日から武道館に泊まり準備万端。「メリークリスマス！　今日は誰1人置いていかねーからな！　全員俺についてこい！」と意気込みを放つと長いツアーを経てさらに強固となったアルバム『TYCOON』から「WE ARE GO」や「一滴の影響」「IDEAL REALITY」といったライブでの鉄板曲を立て続けに披露。 このツアーではテンションが上がると“情熱”という名の“靴”を客席に飛ばしてきたTAKUYA∞だがこの日もライブ開始早々に両足の靴が宙を舞っていた。

また、年に一度のクリスマスライブということで、普段のライブではあまり披露しない「Roots」や「心とココロ」といった楽曲を叙情感あふれる歌声で歌い上げると、プレミアムなセットリストに会場からは大歓声が起こった。終盤では「10年目の素敵な景色をありがとう。これからもさらに良い曲を作ってまた迎えに行くよ」とオーディエンスを煽ると、「RANGE」「在るべき形」「終焉」と披露し、「この情熱は扉の向こうへ持っていって、素敵なクリスマスを過ごしてください！」と伝えライブは大円団を迎えた。
