Mrs. GREEN APPLE、3rdアルバム『ENSEMBLE』収録曲が全解禁

Mrs. GREEN APPLEが4月18日（水）にリリースする3rdアルバム『ENSEMBLE』の収録曲の中の詳細を明かしていなかった2曲を発表！ これにより全収録曲が明らかになった。

3月21日（水）、自身がレギュラーを担当するTOKYO FM/JFN38局ネット「SCHOOL OF LOCKS!」内の「ミセスLOCKS!」（毎週水曜23:10-23:25）にて発表され、『ENSEMBLE』特設サイトでも連動する形で鍵のかかった2曲が解除された。ひとつめの「SPLASH!!!」は、スマホRPG『ワンダーグラビティ〜ピノと重力使い〜』オープニング主題歌として書き下ろされた新曲。Mrs. GREEN APPLEの生み出す作品がゲームの世界観とマッチすることから白羽の矢が立てられ、これを快諾したことから実現。また、主人公たちに不思議なチカラを与える「ワンダーグラビティ」のキーアイテムが「りんご」であることが偶然にもバンド名と重なり、お互いの相性を物語るものとなった。楽曲について大森（Vo./Gt.）は、「音への遊び心がふんだんに詰まったおもちゃ箱のような楽曲で、拍手の音や歓声などが曲中に登場する。ゲームと一緒に曲を楽しんでもらえたらなと思います」と語っている。

そして最後に発表され、アルバムのリードトラックにもなる「PARTY」は、「ミセスLOCKS!」がアンバサダーとしてコイントスカストディアンを募集する企画TOKYO FM/JFN38局「SCHOOL OF LOCK！」AQUARIUS presents Dream Passport テーマソングとしても使用される。楽曲について大森は、「人生観を歌っている今作のリードソング。"組曲"のように各セクションによってまったく違う雰囲気になっており、バラード、ポップ、ロックなど様々なジャンルの音楽が1つの曲になっている。いきなりフルオーケストラになったり、歪んだギターをかき鳴らしたりとMrs. GREEN APPLEの色んな視点が『PARTY』に詰まっている」と語っている。

この日、番組ではいち早く楽曲がOAされ24時からは先行配信もスタート。iTunesではアルバム『ENSEMBLE』を予約注文すると、「PARTY」を先行ダウンロードできるほか、特典として「アウフヘーベン」スタジオセッション映像をダウンロードすることができる。

また、MUSIC VIDEO（Short ver.）も公開された。一見家族のように見える、でもそれぞれに事情を抱えながら生きてきて、辿り着いた森で出会った5人の登場人物の物語。ミセスはその場所で幸せな音楽を奏でる楽隊に扮している。みんなの心に火を灯す「パーティー」。生きるとはなにか、人生は儚くも美しい。そんなメッセージが詰まった感動的なMusic Videoが完成した。メンバーは映像の世界観にちなんだこれまでにない衣装、髪型になっており、これも要チェックだ。
