Kakeruの誕生日を祝う7月12日の無料ワンマン公演の場で、Zeke Deuxが三部作シングル盤を3枚同時リリース。

2023年3月に、ドラマーとしてEisakuが加入。結成以来、サポートメンバーに依頼をする形を取ってきたが、正規メンバーを迎えたことでパワーアップ。3月・5月と立て続けにZeke Deuxは2つの楽曲を発表した。

新ドラマーEisakuについて、盟友のMaya(B)は、以下の言葉を届けてくれた。

Maya もう6年くらい一緒に演ってきた間柄だからこそ、Zeke Deuxのドラマーに適任と判断し、Eisakuをメンバーに誘い入れました。彼のドラムでバンドの土台を作るのは、自分の中ではもはや当たり前というか、自然体でやれていること。Zeke Deuxのドラマーということでオラオラッとした激しいプレイが得意と思われそうだけど。意外と柔軟性を持ったリズムを得意としている、多彩な表現力をもったドラマーでもあるんですよ。


枠に縛られない多様な音楽性を表現してゆくメンバーたちが揃っているZeke Deuxだからこそ、このたび4人は大きな挑戦に出た。それが「長大な一つの物語を作ること」だった。しかも彼らは、それを3枚のシングル盤(1枚毎に2曲入り)に分け、全部で三章を成すコンセプト作品として、現在制作を進めている。
3枚のシングル作品は、新衣装/新ヴィジュアルのお披露目も兼ねた、7月12日に池袋BlackHoleで行われるKakeru(Vo)の無料生誕公演より、会場で3枚同時販売になる。同作品について語った4人の言葉を、ここに伝えたい。

Kakeru　物語の軸を成すのが『VAMPIRE TALE』というテーマ。それを『Fata Morgana』『Maleficia』『Afterimage』と3枚のシングル盤に分ければ、それぞれ2曲入りのように、各々の作品の中でも一つの物語を成しています。わかりやすく伝えるなら、『VAMPIRE TALE』という長大な物語を、三章に分けて届けた形になります。付け加えるなら、後日リリースの写真集型のフォトブックに、この物語の粗筋を成す言葉たちを散りばめています。それらを読み進める形で3枚の音源を聴くことで、今回の物語の内容が見えてくる。最新の衣装も、この物語と繋がりを持っている。それらをすべて統合し、この物語で、聴いた人たちの心を揺さぶっていけたらなと思っています。

Maya まだ未完成ながら6曲を通して聴いたときに感じたのが、極彩色というか、目がチカチカするくらいとてもカラフルな場面が続いたと思ったら、いきなりモノクロの世界が広がるなど、本当にドラマチックな物語を繰り広げる内容に仕上がりそうなこと。まさにこれぞ、大作映画を見ているような作品たちです。

Eisaku　その通りだね。1曲1曲だけを捉えると、どれも短編映画のように完結した世界観を持っている。それを6曲並べて聴いたら、いきなり3Dで飛び出す大作映画になってせまってきた。そんな感覚を味わえると思います。

Haruka 『Maleficia』は、変拍子を多用し、次々と表情を変えてゆくドラマチックな楽曲。『Afterimage』は、コード進行だけを捉えたらずーっと一定の流れを刻んでいくけど。メロディーは一つとして同じものがないように，ずーっと変化し続ける。言ってしまえば、すべてがサビのような歌など、どれもひと癖強い曲たちばかりを収録しているからね。


4人の言葉を聴いていると、完成が楽しみになる。しかも、同3作品を手に出来るのが、Kakeruの誕生日を祝う無料ワンマン公演。最後に、その日に向けたメンバーの言葉もお届けしたい。

Eisaku 三部作をリリースする日が、7月12日に池袋BlackHoleで行うKakeruさんのバースデーも兼ねた無料ワンマン公演「Kakeru Birthday Special Free ONE MAN～Relation of the Different Colors～」。Kakeruさんの生まれたことをお祝いする日に、新たに生まれた3枚のCD作品と、新衣装姿を初お披露目する。この日みんなで、3つの「生まれた」お祝いをしていけたらいいですよね。

Maya　Lux(Zeke Deuxファン)のみんなの期待を強く感じています。その期待以上のものをお届けします。

Haruka この日は無料公演。以前から興味を持っていた人たちも、今回をきっかけに池袋BlackHoleへと集まり、また新たな出会いを生み出せたら、そんな嬉しいことはないからね。

Kakeru ホント、その言葉通り。俺のバースデーという名目もあるけど。いつだってZeke Deuxのライブは、いろんな人たちが出会い、仲間として繋がりあえる場であるし、これからもそうし続けていきたい。もちろん、会場に足を運んでもらい、俺たちが心を込めた音源も手にしてほしいけど。何より、無料公演にしたのは、みんなが出会える場にしたかったから。まだ俺らと出会ってない人たちも含め、ぜひ仲間作る大切な場所にしてください。
