UVERworld、ファン熱望の楽曲「7日目の決意」がシングル化決定

　UVERworldが26枚目となるシングル「7日目の決意」を、6月18日にリリースすることを発表した。

　本楽曲は昨年末頃よりライブで披露され、ファンの間ではCD化が熱望されていた。TAKUYA∞（Vo/Programming）が夢で見たメロディと歌詞から書きあげられたという楽曲で、夢ではカエルの刺繍を施した学ランを着た学生達が、楽曲冒頭にも出てくる《君は冬の夢を見て鳴く蝉》という歌詞とメロディを歌っていたといい、そこだけははっきり覚えていた、との事。

　ジャケットにはその夢で見たというカエルがそのままに描かれており、
　「僕の音楽人生史上一番幸せなCDジャケットになった」と本人も喜びを語っている。

　レコーディングは本来昨年には終わっていたというが、ライブで披露し、さらに良くするために試行錯誤を繰り返したのち、最近新たに歌い直したとの事。

　さらに4曲目には夢で見て聴いた直後、忘れないようにとボイスメモに録音したワンフレーズの歌詞とメロディをそのまま収録。初回生産限定のDVDには「7日目の決意」の昨年クリスマスに行なわれた武道館女祭りでのライブ映像なども収録されているといい、この曲に込める想いの強さが伺える、とにかく濃密な作品となっている。

　UVERworldは現在アルバムの制作を経て、間もなくツアーも開始。常に「新しい曲で未来を創りたい」という彼ら、7月5日には京セラドームでのライブも控えており、こちらでの新曲の披露にも期待が高まる。
