つばきが4年間の活動休止を経てアルバムリリース＆ツアーで完全復活

　2010年12月、一色德保（Vo, Gu）に脳の病気が発覚し活動休止を発表した、つばき。9月10日にアルバム『真夜中の僕、フクロウと嘘』を発表し、同作のリリースツアーも行ない、完全復活を遂げる事が明らかになった。

　一色が不在の間も、仲間のアーティストたちがつばきの楽曲をカバーする「つばきフレンズ」を結成、みんながつばきの復帰を心待ちにしていた中、2013年6月のライヴを機に、つばきは活動を再開。「自分でもここに立っているのが信じられない」とMCで語るように、つばきは奇跡の復活を果たしたのだ。今作は、ギターが弾けなくなってしまった一色に代わって、a flood of circle等で活躍する曽根巧と、e-sound speakerの大迫章弘がギタリストとして参加。これまでになかった試みがいくつも施され、彩り豊かな楽曲は、壮大で情感豊かな音空間を作り上げた。

　「自分の想いを言葉にするのに色々迷って歌詞が書けない時期が続いた」という一色。じっくりと自分と向き合い、探求し、丁寧な言葉で紡いだ歌は、痛みや不安など様々な葛藤と心象風景を綴りながらも、希望のメッセージが全編を貫いている。

　待望のリリースツアーのチケットは本日より先行予約が行なわれている。つばきが踏み出す完全復活への第一歩を、是非その目で見届けて頂きたい。

普段は楽観的な僕も夜になると
時々心配性で、ネガティブなもう一人の自分が顔を出す。
夜行性のそいつにも、もちろん良い所はある。
だけど、この嘘で溢れた社会やこんな自分を思うとなんだかとてもやりきれない暗い気持ちになる。
でも、嘘にも色々な嘘がある。
君がついた優しい嘘に涙を流したり、僕がついた酷い嘘に後悔したりする。そして、折れそうな心を繋止めるために自分についた嘘もある。
あげれば切りがない。
そんな嘘ともう一人の自分に向き合って出来たタイトルが「真夜中の僕、フクロウと嘘」。

いつもそうですが、特に今回のアルバムは本当にたくさんの人に助けてもらって作り上げる事が出来た。
音源だけじゃなくMVやアーティスト写真、アルバムジャケット、そして、この後始まるツアーもそう。
僕が今までなら一人でできた事ができなくなって迷惑をかける事もふえたけど、おかげで色んな人のアイディアや想いを受ける事が出来て、新しいつばきの音楽を鳴らす糧になっている。
色んな事があって色んな人の想いを受けてできたこのアルバムは、本当に素晴らしい作品になったので、とにかく、たくさんの人に聴いて欲しい。そして、感謝の気持ちを持って、これからまたつばきの音楽を鳴らして行こうと思う。
