LM.Cが3度目の日比谷野音ワンマンにてニューアルバムのリリースを発表

LM.Cが通算3度目となる日比谷野外大音楽堂でのワンマンライヴ「LIVE2014?YAON de FEVER MAX!!!」を9月7日（日）に行なった。

当日は“雨の野音"になりそうな空模様だったが、開演が近づくにつれて雲の切れ間から青空がのぞき、大歓声とハンドクラッピングに迎えられ、ライヴはアッパーなロックチューン「DOUBLE DRAGON」からスタート！ゴールドで統一されたFEVER気分を盛り上げるディスコ仕様のステージセットの中、LM.C流EDM などアガるナンバーが次々に披露された。

「天気予報では1週間前から、さんざん“雨です"って言ってたけど、すっかり晴れてるじゃないか！　今日は見たこともないLM.Cにしようぜ！　昨日までのLM.Cを余裕で超えて行こうぜ！」とmayaが煽り、全員がタオルを回すアンセム「We are LM.C!!～The Anthem of Strong Pop～」へ。中盤からはパンクでヘヴィでやんちゃなLM.Cが炸裂し、mayaがDENKI-MANとトロッコに乗ってスモークを機関銃のように客席にまき散らしながらサブステージに移動。初期からの定番曲「METALLY」をメインステージでギターをかき鳴らすAijiと向かいあうように演奏した。続いてAijiもサブステージへと駆けつけ、スモークが派手に上がる中、「@FUNNY PHANTOM@」が鳴らされ、早くも興奮はマックス状態。「ここをいっきに夏祭りの会場にしたいんですけど、いいですか？」とmayaが呼びかけると会場に紅白の提灯が出現し、「EDO FUNK」では夏を呼び戻すような賑やかな光景が目の前に広がった。

メインステージに戻り、ヒット曲「88」やバラードでしっとり聴かせた後は、どしゃ降りだった3年前の野音ワンマンを振り返り、「陽が落ちるの早くない？」と9月の空を見上げて、まだまだここからが野音でフィーバーライヴの真骨頂なのだと匂わせる。ディスコチューン「SUPER DUPER GALAXY」と痛快なR&R「BABY　TALK」では小学生から大人まで希望者がステージに続々と上がり、100人近くのオーディエンスと共演するLM.C恒例の参加型パーティが過去、最大規模のスケールで繰り広げられた。

そして、後半では予定外のサプライズも！　夜空に一瞬だけ顔を見せた月にテンションが上がったmayaが「予定になかった曲、1曲、やっちゃおうかな」とAijiに耳打ちし、この景色に似合う曲と「It's a Wonderful Wonder World」を演奏した。MCでは12月中旬にニューアルバム『PERFECT RAINBOW』を発売することや12月30日に渋谷公会堂でライヴを行なうことが報告され、LM.Cはその勢いを一瞬たりとも途切れさせることなく、駆け抜けていった。ラストナンバーは彼らの始まりの曲「☆Rock the LM.C☆」で、シンボルマークのウサギの耳やバルーンが登場し、フラッグが振られ、再び提灯が灯される大団円。「YAON de FEVER MAX!!!」の名にふさわしいLM.C史上最高のハッピーでど派手で振り切れたライヴはこうして幕を閉じたのだった。

12月中旬リリースと発表されたニューアルバム『PERFECT RAINBOW』の気になる詳細は追って明かされるので、続報を待とう。
