ALSDEAD　NIKKY(Dr)バースデイライヴレポ

3月11日に通算11作目となるシングル「INAZUMA」をリリースするALSDEAD。
ライヴを見据えた作品となるこのシングルの発売を前にして、２月20日に池袋EDGEでライヴを行なった。

去年11月から４カ月連続で開催したメンバーのバースデーイベントのラストを締めくくるもので、主役は２月に誕生日を迎えたドラマーのNIKKY。
対バン相手は、そのNIKKYが前に在籍していたGALEYDで、彼にとって２バンド連続でドラムを叩く１日となった。

まずは１曲ごとを噛みしめるように、しかし熱量高くプレイしたのはGALEYD。
なにしろ約１年半前から無期限活動休止状態だったが、このライヴをもって正式に解散するからだ。

ファンにこれまでの感謝も言葉にしつつ、NIKKYも含めALSDEADの活躍を応援したいと、バンド仲間として熱いエールも送った。
その思いを全身に受けてステージに登場したALSDEAD。
スラッシーなテイストが濃厚な「FLASH BACK」から始まったライヴは、現在のALSDEADの勢いをストレートに反映させたもので、凄まじい攻めっぷりと激しいライヴ・パフォームの連続。

ニュー・シングルからは「EVOⅢ」と「INAZUMA」の２曲を一足早く披露したが、どちらもイントロが始まった瞬間からファンの気持ちをつかみながらメタリックに疾走する。
ライヴならではのテンションの高さも加わり、獰猛なナンバーとして威力も発揮。
すでにライヴのキラー・チューンと呼べる手応えだ。
ニュー・シングルをリリースしてからのライヴにも期待がかかる。
そのライヴが３月13日＝大阪・心斎橋Clapperから始まる東名阪ワンマン・ツアー『電光石火』だ。

「INAZUMAをひっさげての東名阪ワンマン。今までは英語表記のイベントタイトルが多かったんですが、今回はわかりやすさ、そして文字の如く電光石火な激しさを重視したワンマンになってます。オルサーはもちろん、ALSDEADに興味のある人には絶対楽しんでもらえるワンマンにしたいですね」（陽佑)

「ALSDEADが今のラインナップになったのが去年５月。最初は探り探りの部分も多かったんですけど、今では自信を持って挑める体制が整ったと思います。それを濃く、そしてピュアに伝えるワンマン・ツアーにしようと思っています」(沁）

「ALSDEADは激しいイメージも強いバンドですけど、今回のシングルの「秘密」を聴いても分かるように、激しさだけではないんです。そういう意味でバリエーションの広いバンドだと思います。ステージの持ち時間が限られたライヴでは、様々な面を表現するよりも、芯の部分で勝負することが多いんですよ。でもワンマン・ライヴでは、激しい曲はもちろん、世界観の広がる曲もメニューに組み込んで、ドラマ性も重視した濃いステージにするつもりです」（MAKI）

「自分が前に在籍していたGALEYD、そして今いるALSDEAD。自分でライヴを企画しながら、ちょっと複雑な気持ちもあったんですが、こうして実現できたことに、両バンドのファンとメンバーに感謝します。ありがとうございます。そして今日を迎えたことで、ALSDEADのドラマーとして今まで以上に全力でいこうと思いました。そういった意味での新たな一歩が、３月13日からの東名阪ワンマン・ツアーになります。１つ歳を取って、ドラムのキャリアも13年目ぐらいになりました。でもやりたいことがまだまだいっぱいありますからね。期待だけしていてください」（NIKKY）
