降谷建志、初となるソロ作品「Swallow Dive」MVを公開

降谷建志のソロ活動第一弾リリースとなった配信シングル「Swallow Dive」のミュージックビデオが公開された。

Dragon AshのKjこと降谷建志がソロでの活動開始を発表し、同時に配信シングルとしてリリースされた「Swallow Dive」。この曲は何かを始めるときに勇気をもって一歩を踏み出すことを歌った曲で、自身のソロ活動スタートはもちろんのこと、新しいことが始まるこの時期にふさわしい高揚感溢れる楽曲である。同曲は配信間もなく主要配信サイトで1位を記録するなど話題となっているが、本日3月24日、ついにそのミュージックビデオが公開となった。

ビデオの監督は「攻殻機動隊S.A.C.」シリーズやサイボーグ009最新作「009 RE:CYBORG」など数々のアニメ作品を世に送り出した、世界的なクリエーターである神山健治。そして、本作は神山氏が手掛ける初の実写によるミュージックビデオとなる。降谷が神山作品の大ファンであることから、今回のコラボレーションが実現した。

撮影は3日間にわたって行なわれたが、東京のランドマークである六本木ヒルズ森タワー屋上での撮影や七里ヶ浜での空撮など、スケール感のある映像が盛り込まれた作品に仕上がっている。劇中で展開される物語のカギを握る、鳥の形をしたラジコンは、人気アニメーション「NARUTO -ナルト-」シリーズのキャラクターデザインでも知られる西尾鉄也氏がオリジナルデザインを担当。作品の細部まで徹底的にこだわる神山氏からの呼びかけに西尾氏が快く応じ、トップクリエーターの手による“豪華な小道具"が完成、作品に深みを与えることになった。
