THE BACK HORN、新曲「悪人」の世界を表現した歌詞付きサイレント映像公開

THE BACK HORNが9月2日（水）に発売する通算23作目となる両A面シングル「悪人／その先へ」から、「悪人」の世界を表現したサイレント映像がYouTubeのTHE BACK HORNチャンネルにて公開された。

「悪人」は強力なメッセージ性と、複雑な楽曲構成が織りなす世界観が、THE BACK HORNの真骨頂ともいえる楽曲。ライヴでは何度か披露されているが、楽曲タイトルや、先行して広告とWEB上に掲載されたバラバラの歌詞が様々な憶測を呼び、ラジオやWEB上でも音源が公開されていないことからファンの間で話題となっていた。

今回のサイレント映像により、歌詞の全貌が明らかになっているほか、想像をより掻き立てられる内容になっており、今後、初めて音源を聞くにあたって、新たな楽しみを感じて欲しいという思いも込められている。

「悪人／その先へ」はシングルとしては、昨年2月発売の「シンメトリー/コワレモノ」以来、1年半振りのリリース。結成時の衝動から、その先へと続く想いが刻まれた歌詞に、印象的なギターリフをはじめ、プレイヤーとしての4人の魅力が凝縮されたサウンドで、初期衝動と成熟度が見事に融合した「その先ヘ」が「悪人」とともに両A面で収録される。昇る朝陽の中で演奏するシーンが印象的な「その先へ」のMVは、既にYouTubeで公開中。さらに、カップリングには、こちらも新曲となる「路地裏のメビウスリング」を加えた全3曲が収録される。

初回盤特典DVDには、『イキルサイノウ』完全再現ライヴ from マニアックヘブンVol.8 （2014.12.25）を収録。2014年末に行われた、メンバー自らが企画・演出を手掛けるプレミアムライヴ『マニアックヘブンVol.8』にて、完全再現をしてほしいオリジナルアルバムを投票で募集し、選ばれたアルバムの全収録曲を曲順通りにセットリストに組み込むという企画が実施された。その事前投票で第1位に選ばれた3rdアルバム『イキルサイノウ』再現ライブパート、全11曲を収録したもの。バンドが躍進するきっかけとなった映画『アカルイミライ』（黒沢清監督）の主題歌「未来」（5thシングル）の他、「光の結晶」（6thシングル）、 「生命線」（7thシングル）、「花びら」（ZETT CMソング）などを余すことなく収録する。

また、シングル発売を記念し、7年振りのインストアイベント、バンドにとって初となるサイン会を全国7都市で開催。イベントは、10月1日（木）にタワーレコード仙台店、10月5日（月）にタワーレコード札幌店、10月9日（金）タワーレコード広島店、10月12日（月・祝）タワーレコード福岡店、10月14日（水）にタワーレコード渋谷店、10月15日（木）タワーレコード新宿店、10月22日（木）にタワーレコード梅田NU茶町店、10月25日（日）にタワーレコード名古屋パルコ店で開催。さらに、店舗購入特典として、タワーレコード全国各店・タワーオンラインでは、「オリジナルポスター」が、TSUTAYA RECORDS全国各店・TSUTAYA オンラインショッピングでは、「オリジナルポストカード」が先着でプレゼントされる。

10月からは、2007年以来、8年振りとなる対バンツアー『「KYO-MEI対バンツアー」～命を叫ぶ夜～』を開催。ツアーは、10月2日（金）仙台RensaでのTHE BAWDIESとの対バンを皮切りに、10月4日（日） 札幌ペニーレーン24でアルカラ、10日（土） 広島クラブクアトロでキュウソネコカミ、11日（日）福岡DRUM LOGOSでACIDMAN、23日（金）なんばHatchでMUCC、24日（土）名古屋ダイアモンドホールでUNISON SQUARE GARDEN、30日（金）Zepp Tokyoでストレイテナーをそれぞれ迎えて開催される。

THE BACK HORNは、世界4大映画祭の1つ『モスクワ国際映画祭』で、映画『私の男』が快挙を成し遂げたことでも話題となった熊切和嘉監督とタッグを組み、昨秋公開された映画『光の音色－THE BACK HORN Film－』のDVDを3月に発売。THE BACK HORNの世界観が元となり、無声映画のように展開されるドラマパートと、セリフや感情の代わりとなるバンドのライブシーンで映画は構成され、数ある音楽映画の中で新たな表現として話題になった。日本に先行して公開された、撮影地でもあるロシア“ウラジオストック映画祭"でも、熊切監督と共に言葉の壁を越えて大喝采を受けた。
