佐野元春、音楽的冒険を繰り返して進化を遂げた90年代のアルバム6タイトルをリイシュー

佐野元春が90年代に発表したオリジナルアルバム6作品がニューリマスタリング／高品質Blu-spec CD2仕様で復刻し、3月23日にリリースされた。

80年代初頭に「サムデイ」や「ガラスのジェネレーション」といった楽曲を次々に発表、それまでの邦楽の価値観を覆し、一躍時代のカリスマとなった佐野元春。しかし、ソングライターとしての彼の真価は、むしろ90年代にこそあると言っていいだろう。リリースしたアルバムのトータルセールスは100万枚超と、80年代のアルバムと何ら遜色ない実績を挙げている。そして80年代以上にさまざまな音楽的冒険を繰り返し、さらなる進化を遂げたのも紛れもない事実だ。

今回リリースされるのは『タイム・アウト！』（1990年）、『スウィート16』（1992年）、『ザ・サークル』（1993年）、『フルーツ』（1996年）、『ザ・バーン』（1997年）、『ストーンズ・アンド・エッグス』（1999年）の全6作品。90年代、言葉とビートを高い次元で昇華させ、文学的な世界観に深くシフトしていった佐野元春。今回再リリースされるこれら6作品には、今も心を揺さぶる名曲の数々が収められている。ようやく彼の90年代が深く語られる時が訪れた。
