LOUDNESS、セルフリメイクアルバム収録曲とジャケット写真を公開

5月22日に行なわれたLOUDNESSのニコニコ生放送 メンバー本人出演スペシャルにて、7月6日に発売される35周年記念アルバム『SAMSARA FLIGHT～輪廻飛翔～』の初回盤DISC1と通常盤に収録される初期セルフリメイク作品の内容が発表された。

この初期セルフリメイク作品は、昨年より長期間にわたりレコーディングが進められていたもの。キャリア最強と言える現在のラインナップで丁寧にレコーディングされた初期の楽曲たちが、どのように生まれ変わっているのかが注目される。

また、今回のアルバムジャケットも同時に公開された。初回盤、通常盤ともに共通のジャケットは、今回のセルフリメイク作品が初期3枚のアルバムを中心に選曲されていることから、初期3枚のジャケット・コンセプトを継承。初期3枚で誕生～幼少期までが描かれていた主人公が、30年以上の時を経て、一人の騎士として大地を見守る存在に成長した姿が描かれている。初回盤のみ、3枚組デジパックを包むスリーブケース仕様となり、そのアートワークも公開された。

さらに、番組では初回盤の3枚目にDVDとして収録される映像作品「THUNDER IN THE EAST完全再現ライブ＠渋谷公会堂」の映像も一部公開されたが、今回のDVDでは『THUNDER IN THE EAST』の曲順通りに再現された10曲がそのまますべて収録されることになった。

初回盤のDISC2に収録される「ファン投票オールタイムベスト」は、5月24日 23:59までが投票期限となっている。この企画は、4月27日からオフィシャルHPに開設された投票ページにてLOUDNESSのレーベルの垣根を超えた約300曲を対象としたファン投票を募集。写真をつけて楽曲投票すると、投票者全員がフォトモザイクという技術でアルバムのブックレットに掲載されるという、ファンによる究極のベストアルバムとなる。明日の締め切り後に集計がな行われ、CDに収録が決まった上位10数曲が6月上旬に発表される予定となっている。まだ投票を済ませていないファンは、自分の一押しの楽曲を忘れずに投票しておこう。
