ウルフルズ、大阪・万博公園に集まった約16,000人と大合唱

ウルフルズが8月29日、万博公園もみじ川芝生広場でイベント「クリアアサヒPresents OSAKAウルフルカーニバル ウルフルズがやって来る！2016ヤッサ！20年目のバンザイ～やっててよかった～」を開催した。

ウルフルズのヒットシングル『バンザイ～好きでよかった～』のリリースから20年…。この20年目の「バンザイ」を大阪・万博公園に集まった約16,000人と大合唱！！今年もダンサーあり、花火ありのド派手な演出盛り沢山の3時間超えライブが終了。新曲も初披露した！同イベントは、ヒットシングル『バンザイ～好きでよかった～』の発売から今年で20周年を迎えることから、名付けられ、当日は約1万6千人のファンが会場に集まった。

ステージ中央には、『バンザイ～好きでよかった～』のジャケット写真のモチーフになった巨大なロケットが！ステージの両脇に設置されたビジョンにはリリース当時のアーティスト写真が映し出され、『バンザイ～好きでよかった～』のイントロが流れると、ド派手な登場ではなく、メンバーが颯爽と登場！そのままステージを飛び出し、会場を練り歩きながら“バンザイ餅”を配るというユニークな登場でファンを喜ばせた。メンバーがメインステージに戻り、いよいよ『バンザイ～好きでよかった～』の演奏と共にLIVEがスタート。1万6千人の手拍子でウルフルズを歓迎する中、トータスも「大阪―！！！！！」というシャウトで客席を煽り、会場を盛り上げた。その後、『あーだこーだそーだ！』 『ツギハギブギウギ』を続けて披露すると、最初のMCで「今年も沢山来てくれてありがとう！曇りの予定やったんやけど、太陽がめっちゃ出てて暑い・・・（笑） 最後までよろしく。」とトータス松本が意気込みを語り、総勢42名の水着姿のダンサーを携え、かんかん照りの会場にぴったりなウルフルズの夏ソング『SUN SUN SUN ‘95』を披露した。

そして、トータス松本のアコースティックギターから始まる『愛すれば』（最新アルバム「ボンツビワイワイ」より）。この楽曲の演出であるかのように、会場には風が吹き、日が差し込んで心地よい空間となった。MCでトータス松本は「今年のヤッサは『バンザイ～好きでよかった～』のリリースから20年ということで、それをテーマに考えました。そして、ウルフルズは来年で結成25周年を迎えます！！本当に色々な出会いがありました」と語った。その後『明日があるさ』、そして、現在、大泉洋さんが歌唱し話題となっているリクルートナビのCMソング『笑えれば』を続けて披露。「とにかく笑えれば～♪」と会場全体が一体となって歌う。1万6千人の会場のお客さんは、この大阪万博記念公園の開放的な雰囲気の中、ウルフルズの音楽を心から楽しんでいる様子。特にピクニックエリアでは、シートを敷いてゆっくりとライブを堪能することができ、夏の最後の思い出を作る人々で溢れかえっていた。また、家族連れでウルフルズの音楽を楽しむ姿が多く見られ、改めてウルフルズがみんなを笑顔にできるバンドである事を感じさせた。

一度、メンバーは退場し、転換から次のステージへ…。再度、戻ってきたメンバーを大きな拍手で迎え入れる。『Let's Go Monday』では、会場に設置された、やぐらや花道を使ったパフォーマンスで隅から隅まで、会場全体のお客さんを楽しませていた。そして！やぐらの上でド派手なはっぴを着たトータス松本から発表が。「今から新曲やります！！ウルフルズらしい、ウルフルズのヤッサらしい曲を作りました！この曲はこの先、一生歌い続けていこうと思います！タイトルは『せやなせやせや人生は』！！」と浴衣を着たダンサーが音頭を踊る演出のなか、新曲を初披露した。トータス松本がタイトルを言うと、会場からは拍手と笑いが起こった。「せやな、せやせや」という言葉は、トータス松本の口癖が由来であり、最近のウルフルズのライブでは、おきまりのコール＆レスポンスとなっている。トータス松本が「せやな！」と言うと、会場からは「せやせや！」と返ってくる。会場が一体になるフレーズなのだ。その後は『大阪ストラット』『バカサバイバー』『ええねん』など、アッパーな楽曲が続き、会場のテンションもあがる。『大阪ストラット』では、恒例のウルフルケイスケによる“六甲おろし”が披露されると大量のジェット風船が空に舞った。綺麗な光景である。すっかり陽も暮れたステージ上から、本編最後の曲となった『いい女』のイントロが鳴り響くと、客席からは大きな歓声が起こった。本編は計22曲を披露し、幕を下ろした。

会場のアンコールに応えてメンバーが再び登場すると、コール＆レスポンスで会場の温度を更に高め、その勢いのまま、『ガッツだぜ！！』に突入。曲中ではステージ上に火花が大きく散り、アウトロでは、ステージ上空に大きな花火が舞い上がるド派手な『ガッツだぜ！！』となった。「来年で結成25周年を迎えます。来年のヤッサに向けて一年張り切っていこうと思っています。よろしく！」とトータス松本が、結成25周年イヤーに向けての意気込みを述べると、「最後はね、もう1回バンザイを歌いたい。どうか聴いてください。」と語り、この日2回目となる『バンザイ～好きでよかった～』をパフォーマンス。オープニング1曲目の『バンザイ』とラストの『バンザイ』は、また違った雰囲気を味わうことができた。

最後にはイベント恒例の花火が打ちあがり、ウルフルズのメンバー、そして会場に集まった16,000人が一緒に花火を見上げながら、2016年のヤッサは幕を閉じた。
