ハルカトミユキ、山田将司（THE BACK HORN）と念願の2マンライブ開催

ハルカトミユキが1月27日（金）、代官山LOOPにて2マンライブを行った。その対バンの相手はTHE BACK HORNのボーカル山田将司！

2016年12月から行われてきたハルカトミユキのアコースティックライブシリーズ第3弾となったこのライブ。前列に用意された椅子席に加え、多数の立ち見客が会場内を所狭しと埋め尽くす大盛況の中、オープニングアクトのカヨコがまずアップテンポな5曲を披露。

会場があたたまったところでハルカトミユキが歓声に包まれながらステージに登場し、1曲目の「世界」を爽やかに歌唱した。2曲目の「バッドエンドの続きを」を歌い終えたところでボーカルのハルカが、今回の対バン相手である山田について語り始める。

15歳の時にTHE BACK HORNを知ったというハルカは、「誰にも言えないような人間の醜い部分を歌っていて、当時の自分が救われた。『いつかこんな歌を作りたい』と思い続けて12年。やっと今、歌で感謝を伝えられる」と、この日の競演への並々ならぬ想いを口にした。さらに、大学時代THE BACK HORNの曲をコピーしていたハルカをミユキが気に入ったという、結成のきっかけとなったエピソードも飛び出した。「だからハルカトミユキの曲が暗いのは、影響を受けたTHE BACK HORNのせいです！」と笑いながらも、12年越しの感謝と尊敬を込め、3曲目ではTHE BACK HORNの「キズナソング」をカバー。ハルカの想いが乗った芯のある歌声と、ミユキの澄んだコーラスに会場からは感嘆の声が漏れていた。

一方山田は、サントリー鏡月のCMソングでもある「きょう、きみと」、つじあやのとコラボした「15歳」、THE BACK HORNの「tonight」と、ソロ曲とバンド曲を織り交ぜたバラエティ豊かなセットリストで観客を魅了。さらに5曲目にはハルカトミユキの「奇跡を祈ることはもうしない」をカバー。これは山田から2人へのサプライズだったそうで、ハルカは「私たちが『キズナソング』を歌うことは伝えていたんですけど…まさか私たちの曲を歌ってくれるなんて」と、感無量の様子だった。

アンコールでは、THE BACK HORNの「未来」をハルカトミユキと山田将司が一緒に歌う演出も。2017年にメジャーデビュー5周年を迎えるハルカトミユキ。今回、12年越しに叶った山田とのライブ競演が、これからの飛躍の大きな希望になったことは間違いないだろう。
