イメチェンあるいは原点回帰!? 自然体が好印象だったアーティスト

2017年も残すところ、あと1カ月！ 間もなく新しい年がやってくるので、そこからまた心機一転、頑張っていきたい所存です。そんな中、素敵にイメチェンしたり、デビュー当時のような力強いアプローチを見せたりと、すでに新しいオーラを纏っているアーティストもちらほら。というわけで、今回は自然体っぷりが好印象だった5曲をセレクトしてみました。

■1.「RESTART」（'17） ／エレファントカシマシ

記念すべき50枚目のシングル曲。デビュー30周年のアニバーサリーに、NHK『紅白歌合戦』へ初出場決定と、話題が絶えないエレカシですが、この「RESTART」のMVでの金箔塗り、断髪シーンにも驚かされました。ここに来て長髪を切り落として、スッキリ短髪になった宮本浩次。なんか、とてもいいなぁと思います。今年リリースした「風と共に」「ベイベー明日は俺の夢」「RESTART」「今を歌え」…どの曲も現在の自分たちを踏まえて、“さらにドーンといくぜ！”と前を向いている感じなんですよね。最高。


■2.「羽田ブルース」（'17） ／シシド・カフカ feat.横山剣 with CRAZY KEN BAND

こちらも断髪MVが話題になった、シシド・カフカ（feat.横山剣 with CRAZY KEN BAND）の「羽田ブルース」。デビュー以来のトレードマークだったロングヘアをばっさり切り、大胆イメチェンしたショートカット姿、めっちゃ素敵です。この楽曲の影響なのか、日本テレビ系『しゃべくり007』では昭和歌謡にはまっていることを告白。山口百恵の「プレイバック Part2」を見事に歌い上げました。今年はNHK連続テレビ小説『ひよっこ』で朝ドラ初出演を果たすなど、新しく変わっていく彼女。引き続き注目しましょう！


■3.「CHERRY」（'17）／RAMMELLS

お次は12月にメジャーデビューを果たす注目の4人組バンド、RAMMELLS（ラメルズ）。洗練されたオシャレな雰囲気のあるアーティストって、最近なんでもかんでも“シティポップ”に括られがちですが、ストレートかつキャッチーなこの「CHERRY」を機に、また新しい側面を感じてもらえるんじゃないかなと思います。1stフルアルバム『Authentic』は随所にそんなフレッシュさが漂う一枚。ちなみに、ヴォーカル＆キーボードの黒田秋子も今年ばっさりとショートヘアに！ 過去曲「Holiday」のMVを観ればその変化が明らかなので、ぜひ合わせてどうぞ。



■4.「遥」（'17）／LACCO TOWER

黒のスーツを着て激情を表現する印象が強かったLACCO TOWERが、2017年は白い衣装を身に纏って新しい魅力を見せてくれました。TVアニメ『ドラゴンボール超』エンディング主題歌に起用された「遥」はそんな次なる扉を開けたことが伝わる珠玉のバラードで、もともと持ち合わせていた叙情的な詞世界や透明感のあるメロディーを全面に出した点、初の外部プロデューサーとして亀田誠治を迎えた点が奏功！　10月にはZepp DiverCity Tokyoでのワンマンライヴも大盛況を収めた彼ら、今後ますます期待できそうです。


■5.「1987→」（'17）／スピッツ

エレカシ同様、長きにわたって名曲を生み出し続けるスピッツ。彼らも今年はアニバーサリーイヤーで、結成30周年記念ツアーを無事完走しました。そんな中、祝福ムードたっぷりに披露されていたのが「1987→」。草野マサムネ（Vo＆Gu）が“活動初期のビートパンクバンドの新曲という想定で作った”と語っている通り、THE BLUE HEARTSを彷彿させるパワフルさがあって、「ロビンソン」「チェリー」といった代表曲のイメージを覆すようでいて自然なアプローチはどこまでも好印象！　古参ファン含め、リスナー全員がワクワクしたナンバーだと思います。
