大切な生きるための場所を守りたい。FullMooNが最新シングル「affection」「イェイイェイ」に込めた想い!!!

「いつもこの場所へと帰ってこれますように」。。。

これは、FullMooNの最新シングル「affection」の歌詞に記された一節だ。

誰もが経験してきた、いや、今も生活を脅かし続けているコロナという存在。一時期ほどではないにせよ、今も、人との接触や行動にはいろんな制限が課されている。とくに音楽業界。中でも、ライブハウスという場は、今も多くの制約に縛られれば、そこへ出演する人たちも、そこに訪れる人たちも、縛られた環境の中で最大限の楽しみを見いだしながら、その環境を支え続けている。

昔も、そう。今も、きっとこれからも、「ライブ」という場所を自分が輝くための場として。いや、生きるために必要不可欠な場として、自分の人生に組み込んでゆく人たちは生まれ続けてゆく。「ライブが生きる糧になる」という気持ちは、演者はもちろん、観客側も同じ。音楽に恋し続ける限り、好きな存在と触れ合いを求め続けるのは当然のこと。

FullMooNは、最新シングルのC/Wに収録した「イェイイェイ」に、こんな一節も記している。

「僕は君を選んだし 君は僕を選んだ」「君が笑えば 僕も笑える」。。。

FullMooNは、「affection」と「イェイイェイ」の2曲を通し、「互いに求めあっているからこそ、みんなが帰ってこれる場所を自分たちは守り続けていくし、また一緒に大好きな場所で笑いあおう」と伝えてきた。
この2曲が生まれたきっかけに、コロナ禍という現象は確かに欠かせなかった。むしろ、今回の世界中を揺るがす騒動によって、改めて「お互いに何が大切なのか」に気付かせてくれた。

FullMooNのメンバーたちは、「みんなが笑顔になれるこの場所を守り続ける。何時でも帰ってこれるように、この場所で生涯歌い演奏し続ける」(ねね)と、「affection」と「イェイイェイ」を通し、改めて決意を伝えてきた。

12月30日(水)、FullMooNは最新シングル「affection」を発売する。収録した「affection」「イェイイェイ」ともすでにライブで披露し、多くの共感の声を集めている。中でも「イェイイェイ」は、ライブ中にＷピースをしながら一緒に楽しさを分かち合える曲として強い支持を得ている。ミドルメロウな表題曲「affection」も、ライブでは歌詞のひと言ひと言にじっくり耳を、心を傾け、その言葉を誰もが自分の想いとして受け止めている。この2曲について、ヴォーカルのねねは、以下の言葉を寄せてくれた。

「メンバーとファンたちって家族や友達とも違えば、一人一人の過ごしている背景さえ知らないように、ライブという会場でよく会っているのに、じつはそんなに深くは知らないとても不思議な関係じゃないですか。でも、お互い強く求めあっているし、失いたくない関係なんですよね。ライブという場がある限りは、何時だって会える関係。もちろん、いなくなっちゃう人もたちもいますけど。私たちからしたら、ファンの人たちは、自分たちがFullMooNという人生を生きてゆくうえで本当に大切で、かけがえのない存在なんです。だからこそ、一緒にいるときは笑顔でいて欲しいし、笑顔になりたいときはFullMooNのライブという場に帰ってきて欲しいと、何時だって本気で思っています」(ねね)

今回の作品には、「affection」のMVに加えオフショット+メイキング映像が収録になる。中でも30分以上に及ぶメイキング映像という名のドキュメンタリームービーでは、ライブでは窺い知れないメンバー3人のはっちゃけた素顔をたっぷり楽しめるとても見応えある映像に仕上がっている。
2021年1月23日には、Thunder Snake ATSUGIを舞台に、「affection」のリリース記念主催イベントも決定。FullMooNは、無料配信公演や有観客/配信ライブも定期的に行なっているので、遠方や、今はライブに足を運べない方は、配信を通してFullMooNの姿に触れていただけたら幸いだ。
