GLIM SPANKY、 園子温監督映画『リアル鬼ごっこ』イメージソングに抜擢

園子温監督×トリンドル玲奈・篠田麻里子・真野恵里菜のトリプルヒロインでおくる映画『リアル鬼ごっこ』のイメージソングを、男女2人組ロックユニット、GLIM SPANKY（グリムスパンキー）が担当することが発表された。

GLIM SPANKYは今年のフジロック出演が決定し、前作シングル「褒めろよ」がiTunes J-POPチャート4位を記録するなど、注目を浴びているヴォーカル/ギター松尾レミ（23）とギター亀本寛貴（24）の2人による新人バンドだ。60～70年代のロックとブルースを基盤にしながらも、新しさを感じさせるサウンドを鳴らすのが特徴。

映画は、発行部数200万部を突破する大ベストセラー小説「リアル鬼ごっこ（山田悠介著）」を、世界中から圧倒的な支持を得る映画監督、天才・園子温によるオリジナル脚本によって、新たな映画作品として生まれ変わらせている。原作では“全国の佐藤さん"が追いかけられていたが、映画では“全国のJK（女子高生）"が追いかけられる、園子温版の「リアル鬼ごっこ」になっている。

本映画のために書き下ろした今楽曲「リアル鬼ごっこ」は、“リアル鬼ごっこ"という言葉を、園子温監督が新たな映画で表現するならば、GLIM SPANKYも同じく音楽で表現することに挑戦した楽曲だ。メンバー自身、大人でも子供でもないちょうど狭間の年齢で彷徨っている今、これからも変わらず“青春"の中で走り続けていたいという大望溢れる歌詞と、疾走感のあるサウンドで“リアル"な“鬼ごっこ"を表現することに挑戦した。まさにGLIM SPANKYの得意とするロックナンバーに仕上がっており、これからのGLIM SPANKYを代表する楽曲になっていく事は間違いないだろう。

また、今楽曲に対するメンバーコメントも解禁されたので、そちらも合わせて目を通して頂ければと思う。こちらの楽曲「リアル鬼ごっこ」は、7月1日（水）にシングル発売されることが決定している。なお、シングルの詳細は後日発表される。

ボーカル松尾レミは、現在オンエア中のCM「SUZUKIワゴンRスティングレー」でジャニス・ジョプリンの「MOVE OVER」をカバー歌唱。他にも「ちふれ化粧品」等数々のCMで歌唱を担当しており、クリエイターをこれほど夢中にさせる“ジャニス・ジョプリンの再来"“10年に一人の歌声"と称される歌声は必聴だ。

そして5月17日に東京キネマ倶楽部で行われる、前作「褒めろよ」リリース記念ワンマンライヴもSOLD OUT。2015年も突っ走り続ける最重要バンド“GLIM SPANKY"から目が離せない。

現在私は23 歳で、大人と子供の狭間で未だ彷徨っています。
この題材はそんな私にとってリアリティがありました。
本音は、死ぬまで青春真っただ中でいたい。いつまで経っても何かと闘い、駆け抜け続けていたい。
誰だって常に何かに追いかけられ、また何かを追いかけているはず。
そんな事を考えていると、人生そのものがリアルな鬼ごっこであると気付きました。
でも、逃げ切ってしまったら、捕まえてしまったらそれはそれでつまらないので、
鬼ごっこから一抜けする事をしないで、遊び続けるのもどうですか？
駆け抜けている時が一番、人はキラキラしている様な気がします。
