the peggies、文房具店の試し書きだけでつくった新曲のMVを公開

the peggies（ザ・ペギーズ）が世界で初となる“文房具店の試し書きだけをつくった”楽曲「I 御中～文房具屋さんにあった試し書きだけで歌をつくってみました。～」を発表した。

文房具店でペンなどの書き心地を試す“試し書き”。それは書き手の個性や、声にならない魂の叫びが思わず表れる行為でもあるという。試し書きコレクターである寺井広樹の監修・プロデュースのもと、全国の文房具店から約12,000枚以上の試し書き用紙を収集し、そこから見つけた言葉だけを用いて歌詞をつくり、メロディにのせて楽曲化したのが本曲だ。それはさながら“世の中みんなで作詞をする”という、前代未聞の試み。タイトルにもなっている“I 御中”や“バナナに浮かぶ地図”等、筆者の無意識が垣間見える遊び心あふれる試し書きや“思うまま気ままに生きていけ”“どんな時も今が一番だと言おう”など、メッセージ性の強い心に残るワードが、the peggiesのPOPでガールズバンドらしくも重厚なサウンドと融合して、思わず口ずさんでしまうようなリズムが特徴的なモータウンビートのロックチューンに仕上がっている。

今回公開したMVでは、大量の試し書き用紙を敷き詰めた空間で戯れるメンバーや、約100人の一般人のポートレートが試し書きの言葉と共に使用され“誰が書いたか分からない”という試し書きならではの世界観を遊び心たっぷりに表現している。全国から集められた試し書きには、もしかしたらあなたが書いた言葉が歌詞やMVにも登場しているかもしれないので、ぜひチェックしてほしい。同曲は11月22日からiTunes、レコチョク、mora等の各種音楽配信サイトにて配信開始！　さらに、楽曲配信日である11月22日が今回の企画を記念して、日本記念日協会認定の正式な記念日“試し書きの日”に制定されたことも明らかになった。

また北澤ゆうほ（Vo＆Gu）は、神保町にある老舗の洋古書店「北澤書店」の生まれであり、幼いころから本や文章など豊かな言葉に接していたことや、作文教室に通っていたという経験が哲学的で詩的な部分もありながら感情的でセンチメンタルな作詞表現にも繋がっていることも明らかに。その作詞表現こそが、少女と大人が共存するような危うさで聴き手の青春ストーリーを揺さぶり心を掴むthe peggiesの強みにもなっている。そんな北澤の表現が世界108国、約4万枚の試し書きを収集した、試し書きコレクター・寺井広樹の目に留まって今回の取り組みが実施されたとのこと。寺井は“試し書きコレクター”の他にも“離婚式”“涙活”などでも知られるマルチクリエイターで、著書は30冊以上、テレビ・雑誌・ラジオ等にも多く出演している。楽曲発表に併せてスタートしたthe peggiesのInstagramアカウントでは、歌詞に登場している試し書きをじっくり見ることができるほか、大量の試し書き用紙の中を探すと本楽曲が聞けたり、メイキングの映像が見れたりと仕掛け満載になっているので、こちらも注目してほしい。
