阿部真央、自分を見つめ直す時期にきている

　前作から2カ月というタームで発表されニューシングル。今年1月にデビューを果たし、猛ピードで走り続けている彼女にとって、本作は意味深な作品でもあるようだ。

──ライヴの定番曲で、ファンにはおなじみの「貴方の恋人になりたいのです」がようやく発表となりますね。

“ついに出ちゃうのか！”って感じは自分にもありますね。私が書いた曲の中で、一番最初に“いい曲だね”って言ってもらえた…そういう反応が初めてあった曲だったんですよ。

──曲自体は昔からある曲なのですか？

高校三年生の夏だったので、17歳の時に書いたものですね。この曲のまんまなんですけど、叶わない恋をしていて、切なすぎて…その頃、曲をいっぱい書いている時期だったから、“これもネタにしてしまえ！”と思って（笑）

──ピュアな恋をしていたわけですね（笑）。やはり一緒に花火を見ることが願望としてあったわけですか？

願望でしたね。“好きな人と行きたいところ＝花火”っていうか…花火って夜じゃないですか。だから、夕方にドキドキしながら集まって、一緒に花火をやる場所に向かって、そこで花火を見るっていう過程的なものがすごく好きで…手をつなげない関係だったら、ちょっと肩が触れるような距離で歩くとか、そういう妄想がありましたね（笑）。好きな人とそうなりたいなって。

──他の2曲にも言えることですが、自分の中にある行き場のない気持ちを吐き出すために曲を作ってるという感じですね。

高校時代は悶々としてましたからね。でも、曲にして吐き出したからって救われたことは一度もなかったですね。満たされることもないし…そんなもんだなって（笑）

──ライヴをするようになって満たされるようになったりは？

全然ないです！　未だに（笑）。歌ったものが誰かに届いて、その人が私に返してくれた言葉に救われることはありますけど。私、なんで歌っているのかも分からないんですよ。ライヴは楽しいし、私を私だって思わせてくれる場所でもあるんですけど、同時に孤独をくれる場所でもあるんです。“アーティスト阿部真央”っていう名前がひとり歩きしていて、みんながステージを観てくれるけど、ライヴから帰ったら家でひとり腑抜けている私がいる。そういう精神的な孤独を感じさせてくれる場所でもあるのに、ライヴを続けているっていうことは、私はドMなんでしょうね（笑）。でも、自分の歌が伝わった時とか、盛り上がっている時は楽しいから、その後の代償は大きいっていうことは分かっているんですけど…だから麻薬みたいなもんですね。

──それは曲作りでも？

一緒ですね。苦しかったら書かなければいいのに書きたくなる…きっと何かあるんでしょうね。まだ気付いてないだけで。

──今作だと今までにない阿部真央を見せれると思うのですが、そこに可能性の広がりを感じたりは？

まったくないです（笑）。“どこまで自分を消費していくんだろう？”って考えながら歌っているので、今、“自分に可能性はあるのだろうか？”っていうのを考えているところなんですよ。自分をもう一度見つめ直さないといけない時期にきていると思っていて…デビューしてから今までの5カ月間、私は私なりにすごく走ってきたので、どこかで一回立ち止まらないと、将来や可能性が見えないなって。やっぱり葛藤だったり、現実と想像のギャップや、直面した厳しさとかが、いろいろ出てきました。だからこそ今、自分を見つめ直さないといけないって思ってるんです。そういう意味では、今までの阿部真央のイメージをガラッと変えることができるような今作が、この時期に出せるのは非常にいいことだなって思いますね。
