OBLIVION DUST、ツアーファイナルを開催＆再結成後初のライヴDVDを11月にリリース

　OBLIVION DUSTが8月9日、東京・TSUTAYA O-EASTで全国5ヵ所を回った『OBLIVION DUST “Elements Tour" 2014 Fire』のツアーファイナルを開催した。

　同ツアーはこれまで大阪、名古屋、仙台、福岡で開催。会場ごとに「Earth」「Water」「Wood」「Metal」というサブタイトルが付けられ各会場まったく違ったセットリストで、毎夜熱いライヴが繰り広げられた、この“Elements Tour"。ツアーファイナルとなった東京公演は「Fire」と言うサブタイトルで行われた。

　ファイナルとなったこの日は、「Microchipped」でスタート。序盤からヘヴィーなサウンドで一気に加速。ボーカルのKENは「Come On！」とフロアを煽り、オーディエンスのテンションを引っ張りあげていく。時にシャウトで高揚し、時に柔らかい肌触りを持ってフロアを包み込むKENのボーカル、キレのあるリフと感情豊かなメロディで変幻自在に音を紡いでいくK.A.Zのギター、強力なビートでサウンドを支えながら、跳ねまわるリズムでフロアを躍らせるRIKIJI。幾重にも重なり強固な塊となったサウンドでありながら、すべての音の輪郭がくっきりと耳に届くのは、OBLIVION DUSTの強みだろう。

　中盤は激しくも切ないメロディやリフを備えた楽曲が並び、終盤では「Designer Fetus」「Haze」とライヴでは定番の曲が並ぶ。そして、続く「Radio Song」で興奮は一気に爆発した。最後のMCで、12月のクアトロ・ツアーが決定したことを発表すると、フロアは一気に歓喜の声で沸き、ラストの「Sink The God」まで、サブタイトである“Fire"の名に相応しく、まさに完全燃焼のライブであった。

　11月26日には、2007年再結成後初となるライヴDVDの発売が決定。6年分のライヴ映像と、このDVDのために撮影された秘蔵映像を収録。集大成であり、初心者には入門編とも言える、OBLIVION DUSTの“現在"がリアルに収められたこの作品。今回のツアーは終了したが、ライヴDVDのリリース、さらに12月22日（月）からはクアトロツアーの開催が決定しており、今後の活動にも目が離せない。
