OBLIVION DUST、20週年記念ツアーの開催を発表

OBLIVION DUSTの全国5大ツアー『Dirty Heat Tour 2016』が終了！　『20th Anniversary OBLIVION DUST 「I Hate Rock n' Roll Tour 2016-17」』と名付けた20周年記念ツアーの開催が発表された。

7月20日、新作ミニ・アルバム『DIRT』をリリースしたOBLIVION DUST。2012年4月リリースのアルバム『9 Gates For Bipolar』から約4年3ヵ月ぶりとなるこの新作は、サーフロック、ブギービート、ディスコなど、デジタルとアナログを見事に融合させて昇華させた楽曲全7曲を封じ込め、OBLIVION DUSTの持ち味である激しさと哀愁あるメロディを織り交ぜた、渾身のロック・アルバムとなった。

このアルバムを引っ提げ、8月3日の福岡・BEAT STATIONを皮切りに、全5公演が開催された『OBLIVION DUST 「Dirty Heat Tour 2016」』。ミニアルバム『DIRT』を中心に構成されたライヴは、より激しさと振り幅を増し、新たなOBLIVION DUSTの音世界を叩きつけて観客を熱狂させた。さらに今ツアーでは、KEN LLOYD（Vo）の気迫のこもった歌とパフォーマンスがすべてのサウンドを強固たるものに束ね、K.A.Z（G）の華麗なギターリフとRIKIJI（Ba）の骨太でありながら小気味良くうねる低音が、がっちりと折り重なって、凄まじい音圧で各地のフロアを揺らしていった。

そして、ツアーファイナルとなった東京・TSUTAYA O-EAST。ライヴ終了後、ステージサイドのスクリーンに映し出されたのは、全国ツアー決定というニュース。20th Anniversary OBLIVION DUST “I Hate Rock n' Roll Tour 2016-17"と題されたこのツアーは、OBLIVION DUST結成20周年の記念ツアーとなるもので、再結成後、最大となる全13公演を行う。詳細は、近日中にオフィシャル・ホームページにて発表される。
