RADWIMPS、2015年を締め括る幕張ワンマンで約31,000人が大熱狂

メジャーデビュー10周年を迎えたRADWIMPSが、2015年のライブを締め括るワンマンライブを12月23日に敢行。年末の幕張メッセに、超満員となる約31,000人が集った。

SEに重なるファンの気持ちの高まりが最高潮に達したのを察したかのように始まったのは「トレモロ」。近年のライブでは比較的中盤や後半戦で演奏されることが多かったこの曲、まさかの1曲目に、嬉しさ、喜び、驚き、あらゆる感情が混ざった歓声が爆発する。頭上には、レーザー照明で浮かび上がった星空。にくい演出に早くも会場は大揺れとなる。続いて「ます。」「透明人間18号」と畳み込み、会場の熱気は急上昇していく。

「頭が大きいから後ろのお客さんも俺だけ（他のメンバーに比べて）近くに感じると思う、産んでくれた親に感謝！」と桑原の自虐的なMCで会場を和ませたかと思うと、続いて披露された「遠恋」では、桑原と武田が挑発し合いながら、スリリングに凌ぎ合うソロセッションで会場を沸かせる。ここからは初期の名曲を立て続けに披露。「ヒキコモリロリン」は今年の胎盤ツアーでも演奏され、刃田のパーカッション含めて五人編成が更に映えるアレンジで、よりファンキーなグルーヴで、音楽性の広がった10年の軌跡を感じられる1曲だ。続いて披露されたのは「もしも」。アンコール前にオーディエンスが合唱することで耳馴染んでいながら、RADWIMPSが歌うオリジナルを生で聴いたのは初めてというファンも多かったのではないだろうか。

「恥ずかしい想いで15歳の時に創った曲を歌ってるんだから盛り上がらないと帰るぞ！」と野田が煽ると、柵から溢れんばかりの笑顔と歓声で応えるオーディエンス。「次の曲はみんなの声をたくさん聴かせてください」（野田）と届けたのは「有心論」。待ってましたと言わんばかりの熱狂と大合唱が溢れる。

この日も森瑞希と刃田綴色によるツインドラムがRADWIMPSのグルーヴを支える。異国の地でのライブ、そして初めてツインドラムのサポートを迎えて回った胎盤ツアーを経て、より体幹が強くなり、かつ、自由度とアグレッシヴさを増した演奏で、3 万人強のオーディエンスを踊らせる。

ライブで歌うのは初めての大事な曲、と披露したのは「ピクニック」。この夏公開となった、野田洋次郎初映画出演・主演作品の主題歌。映画の印象的なシーンを脳内に描きながら聴き入ったファンも多かったであろうこの曲。バンドアレンジで初披露され、会場は先程までの熱狂から一転、真っ直ぐ響く歌に、食い入るように聴き入った。

「来年への景気付けに、そしてこれからの人生への景気付けに！」（野田）と届けられたのは「DADA」。続けて「おしゃかしゃま」「いいんですか？」とRADWIMPSのライブに欠かせないアグレッシヴな曲で再び会場を沸かせる。

ライブの動員やCDの売上枚数の数字よりも、「目の前にいるあなたは本物であり圧倒的な事実であり、その視線が僕たちを突き動かす」（野田）と話し、ファンが彼らの音楽と出会ったことへの感謝を伝え、演奏されたのは「オーダーメイド」。スクリーンには歌詞が映し出され、その意味を噛み締めるオーディエンスの姿が印象的な、本編の締め括りとなった。

アンコールに応えてメンバーが登場したのは会場後方のサブステージ。アコースティックセットで見せたこのパートでは、「お風呂あがりの」「シザースタンド」を披露。メンバー3 人のみで温かなアンサンブルを届けた。

客席の合間を通って狂喜乱舞するファンとハイタッチしながらメインステージに戻ると、「本当は一人一人とハグしたいところだけど。最後、歌います」と野田。「05410-（ん）」「ふたりごと」を、会場いっぱいはち切れんばかりな、この日一番の大合唱で締め括った。

アンコールを終え、メンバーがステージを降りた後に、未だ感動が体に満ち溢れ、熱気冷めやらぬファンに、突如「特報」と銘打った映像がスクリーンに映し出される。ドキュメンタリー映画「RADWIMPSのHESONOO」が2016年3月11日に劇場公開となることが発表され、会場は再び歓喜の渦に包まれた。この秋の、アジア・ヨーロッパツアー、胎盤（対バン）ツアー、そして幕張ワンマンライブまでの日々を、そのライブの密着及びインタビューで綴った作品になっているとのこと。この秋の彼らの歩みの姿から、10年の軌跡が詰まった作品となること必至。

そして、新たなるRADWIMPSの10年が始まる。
