SCHAFT、最新リリースのジャケ＆トレーラー公開

2016年1月に本格再始動をとげたSCHAFTが、ライヴ音源『Deeper and Down』およびDVD＆Blu-ray『ARCHIVES 2016 TOUR ULTRA ～The Loud Engine～』のジャケットを公開した。

今井寿 （BUCK-TICK）と藤井麻輝（minus（-）、睡蓮）の主軸メンバーに加え、YOW-ROW（GARI）、上田剛士（AA=）、yukihiro（L'Arc～en～Ciel）が参加した21年ぶりのアルバム『ULTRA』が好調なセールスの中、レコーディングと同じメンバーで敢行されたライヴツアー『TOUR ULTRA -The Loud Engine-』も大盛況のうちに幕を閉じ、今後の動向が注目されていたSCHAFT。ツアー終了後休む間もなく、ライヴで演奏され話題になっていた未発表曲2曲を新たにレコーディングし、8曲のライヴ音源を加えた『Deeper and Down』と、ライヴ映像作品『ARCHIVES 2016 TOUR ULTRA ～The Loud Engine～』の2タイトルを5月25日に同時リリースすることがアナウンスされていた。

また、今回の発表とあわせて『Deeper and Down』の試聴トレイラーがアップされた。

『Deeper and Down』に収録された2曲は、ツアーのアンコールを熱狂させた新曲「Deeper and Down」と「H.N.A」。どちらも今井寿の楽曲を藤井麻輝がアレンジしたもの。アルバム『ULTRA』のレコーディングやライヴにも参加したメンバーで新たにレコーディングされた。また「Deeper and Down」には生のブラス・セクションが導入され、ライヴとはまた違うアレンジとなった。加えてその2曲のライヴ音源と、“2016年のSCHAFT”によりツアーで披露され、20年前のファースト・アルバム『SWITCHBLADE』収録曲のライヴ音源6曲の全10トラックを収録。トレイラーではこの新作『Deeper and Down』をいち早くダイジェストで視聴できる。なお、DVDには「Deeper and Down」のライヴMVが収録される。
